About us

Updated 16 Oct 2026

vr4kids is a guide for parents who want to understand virtual reality before handing it to their children: at what age, for how long, which headset, which games and how to set everything up safely.

Who we are

vr4kids is made by the team behind VRforKidz, a site with free, ad-free and closed virtual reality games (nobody can talk to the children). The games were born at home, for our own family, and every world is tested by a child before it goes live.

This guide is what we wish we had found when we started: clear information, no rush to sell, and sources in plain sight.

How we work

  • Official sources. We check ages, health warnings and setup steps on the manufacturers' websites and link them at the end of each article.
  • Review date. Every article shows when it was published and last reviewed. Anything that changes over time (ages, models, prices) gets checked again.
  • Careful with health. We don't give medical advice. If you have questions about your child's eyesight, motion sickness or any health issue, ask their paediatrician or eye doctor.
  • No made-up prices. Prices change daily, so we only give rough price bands and send you to the store for the real price.

How we're funded

Some buying guides include Amazon affiliate links. If you buy through them, Amazon pays us a small commission at no extra cost to you. That money helps keep VRforKidz free and ad-free.

Commissions don't decide what we recommend: if we wouldn't recommend a product to our own family, it isn't here. And VRforKidz, the games site, never has affiliate links: it's a site made for children.
